SATEC is a Family. Meet several of its members
SATEC is proud of its experienced leadership team, whose members bring together extensive multidisciplinary expertise from across the energy sector.
Alex Surdin, CEO
Alex joined SATEC in 2019 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Following several years of strong leadership and business growth, he was appointed CEO in 2022.
Alex has extensive experience in the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry, with expertise in channel development, sales, operations, and customer relationship management. His commercial background has played an important role in strengthening customer partnerships and supporting SATEC’s continued growth.
Before joining SATEC, Alex led the domestic sales department for Power Quality Solutions at Eaton. He holds a degree in Practical Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics.
Tuviya Katz, VP R&D
Tuviya joined SATEC in 2019 as Vice President of R&D, bringing more than 30 years of experience in technical research and development across both innovative startups and established technology companies. He holds a B.Eng. and an MBA, combining strong engineering expertise with business and management experience.
Throughout his career, Tuviya has led multidisciplinary R&D teams worldwide and managed projects from initial concept through mass production and customer support.
His hands-on expertise spans hardware, firmware, mechanics, software, power systems, and communications. This broad technical background enables him to oversee every stage of product development and support SATEC’s continued innovation.
Edgar Quirogas De Freitas,
LATAM Sales Leader
Edgar joined SATEC in 2016 as Country Manager for several Latin American markets. In 2020, he took on regional responsibility for Latin America, following strong results and the development of extensive market and product knowledge.
He holds a B.Sc. in Power Engineering and has completed studies in Project and Business Management at New York University. His academic research focused on reducing non-technical losses through the modernization of measurement systems. This work was published in an IEEE paper presented at the 2006 LATAM Energy T&D Conference.
Before joining SATEC, Edgar worked as a chief engineer in the commercial sector and was involved in implementing backup power systems for data centers. This experience has given him a strong understanding of customer requirements and helps him support clients in specifying and implementing energy monitoring solutions.
Shmuel Branover, Product Manager
Shmuel joined SATEC in 2022 as Product Manager, with responsibility for the company’s product portfolio. His role includes product definition, roadmap planning, and coordinating cross-functional execution from concept through release.
